In this devlog, we will show you lots of new artwork from the game and also some changes and improvements we have been making on the technical side. Let's start!

Meet new magical creatures

The world of Farmwand is full of all kinds of magical encounters, some of them friendly and sweet, some more risky and dangerous.

In our previous updates, we introduced the clueless but gentle creatures called Blinkatts and the mischievous Globlin Bandits, but now they have officially joined the world of Farmwand!

Anyone wants to spend some chill tea time with the Blinkatts in their tree-homes? You just need to help them find their way back first.

The goblin bandits are ready to raid the swamps of Farmwand! Young Saeges, you shall face them with courage and your magic!

Try new desserts

Raise your hand if you've got a sweet tooth, because we want to introduce you to 2 new desserts that you can get in the game!

There is no better way to start the day than with some sweet crepes.

If you want even more crepes...what about a crepe cake?

A new perspective

Very recently we've decided to adjust some aspects about the way Farmwand looks. It is not a major change, but just a matter of perspective (pun fully intended). We are switching to an isometric camera.

This kind of unique perspective gives everything in the world of the game a more "miniature-like" look when seen in motion, it allows for a much easier reading of the environment (which is one of the reasons it has been so popular in top-down games and RPGs) and comes a bit more in line with how we wanted to present the game from the start.

Animal AI & animations

We have been working on the AI for the animals as well as adding more animations to them so they can live around the farms more freely and safely without running into each other.

Sometimes you just want to watch your chickens roaming happily...

With some basic visual feedback to show the mood, now you can watch your chickens eating and becoming happy.

When they are so very happy, they can even give you fresh eggs!
