So, asteroid or bug?

Just, in one of flights, while I was a novice pilot, I had an incident with running into enemies array. I, while I was a young pilot, it was half of a year ago, I saw on a radar of my ship, which I move to the other base, something strange. I was young and inexperienced, and I don’t get the situation.

So, problem was, that on a small distance radar, let`s say about 100 kilometers in radius, it was detected some array of points. There were a lot of them. The thing is, that space distance is huge, and 100 kilometers is a little thing about distance. So, many small points appeared on radar, immediately. I thought, that it were small objects, small stones. And what I need to think about?

On pilot`s courses, I was told about asteroids fields, you know. And, as a good student, I started to think about them. At first time, it was 20 points, and after half a minute, it was already about 100 points. I don’t remember. I was stressed, and make corrections in a way. In order to circle over this asteroids fields. So, it was simple maneuver.

Another things, it was, that this space sector should be clear and clean. This means, that maps says, that there is nothing in this sector. It is clear as something absolutely cleared. There is a lot of free space in cosmos. It is hard to understand this idea for novice.

So I was on important mission, to transport a ship to a base. My mission was clear, because it was a straight line in a fly course, and it should be no problems. But the sector has a connection with a sector at war. This means, that this sector is for base our forces, and next sector – is about real war.

Saying simple, it is calm sector. As I was told. Nothing to fear. It is a task for little schoolboy. Like on a math lesson, some simple task about from A point to B point. That’s why I did not think about enemy.

At last, are space bug enemies – it is still a question. It is well known, that they fly across some space sectors. They are going through our territory. They came from a distanced unknown place. It was the first ideas. It was ideas of scientists. They think this way even today. But the problem is that it begins a war conflict.

They are space bugs, yes. They fly in space without any help. But also they have a space battle fleet. Yes, a real fleet. It is some flying saucer, for example. Or, saying simple, some squares form-factor. They can shoot with rockets. Theirs rocket tech is like our rockets. But space ships are different kind. And theirs ships also has a different forms.

So, in result, I was making a curve, in order to ignore this array. And I saw a real space bugs. And several flying saucers. But, I and them, we both made some maneuvers, and each of us was going its own way. Saying more detailed, they shoot several rockets. And I answered with several rockets also. But nobody was touched. As, I can think now, looks like to move into the right direction was a high priority mission for everybody.
