GUIDANCE Monthly July Devlog! #ScreenshotSaturday

(I promise it was worth the wait)

Well, hopefully anyways.

I hope you'll forgive me for putting off the devlog, but I wanted interesting stuff to tell you, unlike the last couple times.

Let's be honest, at this point your face probably looks something like this, and mine does too :

Since the last time we spoke there have been several new cutscenes and maps, all of which I am very happy with!

Development is also picking up speed and I'm looking forward to continuing production, and can see pretty clearly the next few steps as I keep moving forward with development.

There has also been a major cannon story change with one of the plot elements. This change only affects how the game will be made going forward and things already finished shouldn't have to be changed much, but I may do some tweaking to better reflect this. This change is more thematic than anything else and shouldn't affect any theories. It is also more of a sub-plot, though it definitely plays into the larger themes in the story, and obviously, the central conflict within the main character.

Of course, for a new area and new cutscenes, you need new music and graphics! Here are a few.

Emma's looking pretty cool, as usual! ^.^

Nice toy train huh?

The background used in the main post is also a new background within the game.

Anyways, I may upload one of the new songs to soundcloud if you like. I'm also going to upload a "scrapped" track. I put "scrapped" in quotation marks since it still might get used in the actual game, who knows. There's a few of these.

You can find one of them here : https://soundcloud.com/luke-lcs/sewers-scrapped-guidance

The main reason it wasn't used is because it didn't have the tone I was going for. Sometimes I end up starting a song a few times before finding something I'm happy with, but sometimes I don't, it really depends. I don't delete the other things I made though, even if they're of slightly lesser quality.

Aside from that, there isn't too much to share, but the majority of this work has been done in just the past week, which is a big deal, since it means things are finally picking up again. Like, for real this time!

Thankyou for being patient, and I hope you're looking forward to the release of the final game as much as I am, as far away as that might still be.

You have a good one now! ^.^

So here's the first of the zodiac signs i will make for the next weeks.

Hi everyone! I started to create some environment props for my new video game, here is a cozy house in the forest. I'm planning to switch from Unity to Unreal... Let's see what new challenges I have to face. Made in Blender and Substance Painter.

Call it 'wrong turn'!🚫 The feeling of running into a house with only one exit🚪, and being doomed to die. #pixelart #pixelartist #pixelartwork #art #pixel #indiegame #IndieGameDev #indieartist

If you have more of an acquired taste, the restaurants in Niravasi have you covered! Maybe skip the salad bar, though.

Ladies & gentlemen.. The Blender logo factory! I had a ton of un making this animation. I'll be making a short tutorial on picking up/dropping object in Blender for animations next week! What do you think?
