Nearly every game you've heard of now has a presence on Game Jolt in the form of a Realm, so gear up, because we’re about to go on an adventure to discover inspiring art, amazing videos and talented users across thousands of Realms!

What are Realms?

Realms curate collections of content from communities that focus on similar topics.

For example, there could be hundreds of separate fan communities based around a single game, but a Realm will bring in content from all of those communities to be viewed in one space.

With Realms, discovering new amazing content and users will be easier than ever!

How do I use Realms?

Explore! Try searching for your favorite games to see new Realms appear!

Following a Realm will populate your For You feed with posts from that Realm.

Share your content by posting directly into a Realm, or tagging up to 5 appropriate Realms when making a post.

Can't find the right communities for your posts? That's okay, just share them directly into Realms. Don't want to use Realms? That's okay too!

Why did we create Realms?

Citizens of Game Jolt, you have created a whopping 90,000 communities, many of which have similar topics. That is cuh-razy cool, but also just a tad overwhelming to navigate…

With so many shared interests, we needed an overarching umbrella for communities so that content and users don't get lost. Enter REALMS!

The idea behind Realms is to highlight communities, users and their posts. Even if a user posts in a small or inactive community, they'll still have the opportunity to have their posts seen in a Realm. Hurrah for better visibility!

What’s next?

Realms are still a work in progress. We plan on introducing Realm-specific quests and more ways for us to hang out together!
