, in game you see her as an apparition of sort, but only you can see her since Mio's sentience is made using half an artificial soul and then Maya's, Maya died by getting tied up and thrown in a lake to drown, and she'll sometimes act as your inner monologue or give comments on things or tell you things that she knows from when she was alive
