THOUGHTS AFTER FINISHING THE SUBMISSION
It's pretty crazy how I've done so much stuff for the past two weeks, and how I got to finish my submission!
I rarely get any animations/animatics/MVs done because I admit- My commitment with working on personal projects for a while isn't really my forte. I easily get bored and I just... stop working on it.
But for the case of my submission, I'm really glad I got to overcome that!
I gave it my all with my submission for the contest mostly because I want to challenge myself, and because I got a lot of motivation to make something for it! I got really competitive and motivated when the devs of Margin of the Strange said that they're hosting a fanart contest!
BEHIND THE SCENES
First of all- I'm really grateful for all the support that I got while I was working on it! Without you guys, I probably wouldn't be able to finish it. So... Thank You!
While working on the submission, I started getting some doubts with giving it my all in fear that I might not be able to win and that it might not benefit me in the end- I've seen a lot of amazing submissions made by other people, and well... I became overwhelmed for a while because of that.
But I got to brush it off, push those thoughts aside, did what I can, and just hoped for the best I suppose.
When I got to the last few parts of my submission, my progress got a bit slow because I was getting pretty tired-
And well, during that time... I got this notif.
For context, I posted my progress in tumblr as well! And apparently Nightmargin (the director of both Oneshot and Margin of the Strange) ended up liking my post!
This notif was the final push that motivated me to finish my submission! I honestly wasn't expecting her to see my post, it's pretty surprising! I really want to thank her too for that, and I hope she liked the end result of it :D
END OF THE POST
Honestly? That was one hell of an experience, I'm relieved that it's all over now!
During the process of working on my submission, I also learned a couple of stuff that I'll keep in mind the next time I do similar projects that I'll be making in the future!
Currently I'm waiting for the end of the contest to see who the winners will be! (They'll be picking 3 winners btw)
If I somehow got in as one of the winners, I'd feel honored and happy LOL
If it's not me, then I suppose better luck next time!
But for now, guess we'll have to wait and see!
Anyways, if you got to read everything in here, I appreciate it! I wanted to share my experience with it and express my gratitude to those who supported me while I was working on my submission! It was quite a crazy experience overall ngl-
That's about it! I'm ending the post here, I hope you guys have a good morning/day/night over there ^^
