How my game felt when I revisited its old versions:
(Drew this with my right hand)

#Devruary Feedback on gameplay always comes first! It's helpful to make sure that your game is playable at all and to even tweak some elements to make it play even better.

I'm left handed, but I'm still impressed at how I was even able to write (at all) with my right hand...

I recently revisited the first versions of my game (when it was still called "Kumper Socks" in 2024), and the game was so PAINFULLY SLOW and LAGGY compared to now...

But after in 2025 I rewrote the whole thing from zero as I started to get more familiar with GB studio, I've been posting the initial progress on Reddit (best place if you want honest feedback, just make sure you're not in r/gaming because they funnily ridiculed many dev projects that later became indie hits) and I've been following the feedback I got in there, now shaping the game to what it is today! (With still some more feedback I need to implement).

Remaking the first level! (Tile set not final)

Some of the feedback I got previously pointed out that the current level design felt too boring/empty, so now I'll remake the existing levels and change some aspects of the overall level design of the game.

So I was adding a new screenshot to my game's game page (on the "Design" tab), I deleted one image since I didn't need it there anymore and then after I saved it ALL the images in the page got scrambled or something!

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

I made some changes to the tileset itself too (and might make more).

Doki Doki Literature Club is celebrating Monika's birthday and the 8th anniversary of DDLC with exclusive stickers, avatar frames and backgrounds on Game Jolt!

Decorated the level + extended it just a tiny bit. Also added more bird enemies to balance with the many mice enemies in the level

Still going to make more changes to the level (all of those checkerboard tiles at the start might not be visually appealing)

Mae Borowski is the main character of Night in the Woods! It's an adventure game that tells the story of her return to her hometown of Possum Springs. She was confirmed as canonically pan in a social media post by the game's creator Scott Benson.

Medals... Stars... All over the place!

Added star collectibles! You can collect 3 of them in each level. (Also updated many screens to include stats on your medals and stars.)

If I put every single "1st level" I made into the game now then I'd have a full set of levels already

Also did some changes to the jump mechanic and did a bunch of optimization.

Art that I made for my game during the #Devruary challenge!

I didn't got to post these directly to the game page, so here's a post with most of them there!
