FNaF is a video game franchise that I and many others are really invested in, and its movie adaptation is coming out THIS YEAR. Just seeing the trailer that came out a few weeks ago is amazing, because it was 8 years ago since the movie was first announced. It’s so amazing to finally see more news on the movie, but one piece of news on the casting of Mary Stuart Masterson started some theorizing among the community.
The unnamed villain?
So just in case you don’t know, during a stream that Dawko did before the FNaF began filming was the casting of 3 actors and their roles. The actors were Josh Hutcherson and Matthew Lillard as Mike and William Afton, but the third one was Mary Stuart Masterson as an unnamed female villain. Now the first two are easy to follow and (In my opinion) are good choices, but who is this third character? We know this character is obviously an unnamed female villain, and that does give us some possibilities that we will go over.
We have at least 4 possible characters and they are Circus Baby, Vanny, Mrs. Afton, and the fourth character that I will go over, because these characters are the only female antagonists from the FNaF franchise that I can think of. Circus Baby and Vanny are easy ones to remove, because we do see their characters in the forms of Abby (Mike’s sister, aka basically Elizabeth) and Officer Vanessa (aka Vanny). The next one is also less logically, because not only does Mike have a mother (assuming Mike is an Afton in a movie) but we also get zero evidence to Mrs. Afton even being an important character in the FNaF games and books. So who is the fourth one and why did I not mention them, that’s because I believe they are the character that Mary Stuart Masterson is playing. I believe the unnamed female villain is Eleanor.
Why Eleanor is the unnamed villain
In case you don’t know, Eleanor is the main villain of the Fazbear Frights book series and is believed to be a parallel to the Circus Baby Charliebot from the novel trilogy. Her first appearance was in the first book called “Into the Pit”, and it’s there where we can find evidence of her being our unknown villain for the movie.
In the FNaF Movie teaser, we get to see Mike in a scene where he sees the five missing children that possess the main character but I don’t think anyone has thought about how Mike is seeing this.

It doesn’t really make a whole lot of sense for Mike to out of nowhere have nightmares or hallucinations of the murdered victims without any real reason for it happening, but with Eleanor as our secret villain helps make it make sense. In the very first series in the Fazbear Frights series, we see a kid named Oswald seeing the murders at a Freddy Fazbear’s location in hallucinations created by a creature taking the appearance of SpringBonnie. Now it’s heavily believed this SpringBonnie creature was either is or a creation by Eleanor, and this might seem random if it wasn’t confirmed that Eleanor was literally behind most of not every Fazbear Frights short story in the epilogue of the tenth book. These involve Eleanor creating Shadow Bonnie, Plushtrap with human body parts, and Ella. These creations are made with agony (basically a human emotion that makes things come to life, it’s represented through a black substance) which if you look at the cover of Into the Pit, we can see agony coming out of one of SpringBonnie’s eyes. This shows a clear connection to SpringBonnie and Eleanor from Fazbear Frights, and that tells us that Eleanor played a part in showing Oswald the murders that William Afton committed back in the 80s and could do something similar with Mike in the movie.

Conclusion
With both the context of the teaser trailer and Eleanor's possible role in Into the Pit, there does seem to be a connection to Eleanor and the FNaF Movie and that could explain why Mike starts having these visions of the murders. Eleanor is the reason why Mike is going to learn about the missing children incident in the movie. Just like how Eleanor showed Oswald in Into the Pit, Eleanor will show Mike what happened all those years ago in the FNaF Movie.
