Hear me all the way out:
Firstly, going by the demo's performance and GameJolt stats so far, the audience that the game has ended up getting is an equally distributed variety(any given week/month, it seems to be a bunch of different countries each having one or two people checking out my games) and none are large enough to merit the work of a translation yet(example: I wouldn't try to add and debug a whole new language for just five potential players that ask/speak up, but I might for 20 to 50 that do).
I don't know how computers around the world work, but judging by their feedback, it seems that English is understood across the board so it's the easiest method to deal with under time constraints.
Secondly, the game has a ton of information that is NOT supposed to be seen ahead of its initial release(it's actually the main appeal of the game, especially for the EF and/or AF veterans). Because of this, I don't feel comfortable asking EF vets or anyone else to help with any translations.
My first thought would be to grab DeepL and get started...but if I'm being honest, I know too many people that know other languages well enough that any attempt I make using a translator will probably be broken at best and an insult at worst (they are justified in this respect as that is a language they know, but some are really condescending about the use of translators as opposed to learning the language over time). I don't want to push back the release any more than I have in an effort to hunt down somebody who can translate all the dialogue blocks of this game in a timely manner (tying back into the first reason).
My current plan is this: release the game in English, let people learn the info for the first time, and give it enough time for some kind of majority to surface before releasing the game again with translations for that majority (again, the game story alone has over 3000 lines of dialogue, and I would rather do that level of translation for a top 2-3 instead of a top 10-12).
The project survey is still up, and it includes a question of what languages any and all parts of the EF project should have, as well as a question at the end where you are free to type any additional long-form thoughts, I would ask that you use it if you haven't already.
