I am considering not releasing a demo.
I already know everyone is going to disagree with that. But I wanna get my thoughts out.
So, The Flipside is only 5-6 hours in length (seven hours max). And the "demo" as of now contains what could be about an hour and a half of content.
That's nearly a THIRD of the games content.
Adding onto to allat, you know how the first thirty to an hour of every RPG is weak and serves as the exposition?
Yeah that's what most the demo is outside of a couple interesting things, and I don't really want to just release a ten paragraph lore dump.
Now, I could make the intro more exciting but I'm honestly really happy with it. After the end of what is currently the demo things get REALLY good and pacing starts to pick up. In my mind it rewards the players who stick it out and keep playing.
After release, I might do a much shorter demo but for now I might just release a video going up to a certain point, acting as a taste. Maybe some developer commentary idk.
I am expecting nothing less than people absolutely shredding me apart in the comments but hey, that's the internet for ya!
Also sorry this was kinda scatterbrained but yeah.
Also also I released a speedpaint today go watch.
And if you're STILL reading this, enjoy your reward:
Did you REALLY think I'd show you something THAT EASY?
...
Fine.
TWICE?! ARE YOU BRAINDEAD OR SOMETHING? (joke)
