Submission for Art Weeklies 12/29/2023. Themes chosen: Something Different, Fanart of Indie Games.

Fan art of Scallywag and a Blusser from Wuppo by Knuist & Perzik. Lovely game!

: Modeled/rendered in Blender Cycles, post-processing in Clip Studio Paint

Being new to Blender still, this took me quite a while... But yay, my first full scene that isn't a pile of donuts!

Also, fun fact (???), I actually made myself sick while making this... I suffer from something called simulator sickness that is sometimes triggered by certain 3D games and such, usually ones that have first-person camera perspectives. Somehow I managed to trigger it while creating this piece! I guess I spent a few too many hours back-to-back zooming around in a 3D space? No clue, but man, I was pretty dizzy and felt really nauseous! Hope the finished piece was worth it!

Also, just a little side note, I've met a lot of indie game developers in my time, but I don't know Knuist & Perzik who created Wuppo. It would be so cool if they saw this image at some point; I'd like them to know how much I enjoyed their game.

That's enough rambling! Hope you're all doing well! Lots of love to you all, and keep up the good work!

I... Uh... I definitely knew how to use the jackhammer...

Here's a surface pattern design I painted that was inspired by an embroidered jacket. You can probably see I used an arch motif as a guide for this one. I think it looks really cool for upholstery (chair mockup courtesy of Spoonflower).

Here's a photo from one of my recent walks! I think daffodils have to be one of the most welcome sights after a long cold winter.

It's chilly again today, but I have the wood stove fired up and cranking out the heat! Hope everyone's doing well.

Happy #WIPWednesday! Are you working on a game? Making some art? Practicing a song? Something else? Tell us in the comments!

Here's another one of my recent surface patterns, inspired by ogee prints, 1920s décor, and early Art Nouveau design. I actually pulled the palettes from an interior design book published in the late 1920s—very fun!

Here's a fun one I made for Spoonflower's delft tiling surface pattern design challenge. Of course I had to theme my entry around chickens, because... I mean, come on... Chickens! #ChickenTrender

Hope the weekend goes as well as possible for you all!

Pear blossoms!

I've finally added a channel to my gallery community for photos, by the way... LOL My photos are just point & shoot, nothing fancy, but it will help me keep track of what I've shared with you all.
