Hello everyone! J here. A lot has been happening within the community lately, huh? I’m definitely excited for the release of DELTARUNE Chapters 3 & 4!
All of that aside—let’s dive into another update for Director’s Cut!
GENERAL PROGRESS
Progress has been sailing quite smoothly! We're somewhat done with Snowdin, though a lot of bullet patterns, graphics, and dialogue are still in the works.
Based on some calculations I did, I’d say the game is about 25% complete (that’s 15% out of 16% done with the RUINS and 10% out of 16% done with Snowdin), which means we’re halfway to 50%! ...That’s something, right?!
And that’s not all—two new members recently joined the crew recently!
First, meet JQR! He is an artist and spriter, and even though he joined recently, he already made some awesome stuff, such as the art for this post, and the RUINS background on our page's banner! Awesome looking, right?

As a way to support him, you should totally check his channel out! It's linked on his name, up there!
Shortly after JQR joined, Vozaxhi did as well! They're an awesome musician, and one of their tracks for the game can be found near the end of this update. Their channel is also linked in their name, so check it out!
NEW LOGO!

As some of you might've noticed, we have a new logo for the project! It was made by the lovely @kr1staaa , with a few adjustments by me and other members. We hope you enjoy it!
I-ISN'T THIS THE TUTORIEL?!
As one of our tweaks to the RUINS, we gave Toriel some brand new attacks! Most of these are adaptations of Asgore's attacks, but she's got some original moves too!
Now, with that out of the way... let’s head somewhere a bit snowier, shall we?
SHINDOGGO PSYCHES UP!
Meet Shindoggo, our tougher rendition of Doggo! To avoid spoiling some of the surprises his battle contains, I’ll just show his introduction scene. But there’s a lot more to him outside of battle too—like some lore on why he’s called Shindoggo. Maybe you’ll uncover it when the demo drops? We’ll see.
Also, some of you might've noticed already, but his design is very inspired by one of Temmie's early sketches of him, found in the UNDERTALE Art Book!

TRIPLE TROUBLE!!!
Hope you're excited to meet two more new Snowdin enemies—Dragonflake and Terry! Oh, and Conerr's there, too.
You’ve already seen Dragonflake some time ago, but I hope the wait to see it in full was worth it! One of my favorite aspects is its animations.
Terry’s a bit more on the underwhelming side—as it’s very similar to what Jerry was, but I hope you can love him just as much as the other monsters do...!
GEARED UP!
As you might remember from one of the previous posts, a new piece of Armor was added—the Snow Scarf! The current plan is to add other two more new pieces of equipment in Waterfall and Hotland, so be sure to keep an eye out for those.
But that's not all! All of the original game's equipment will be getting stronger versions! Here’s a little look at some of them...

"Fancy Bow" - Armor DF 5. If you're dapper, monsters might have some manners.

"Butter Knife" - Weapon AT 4. "Butter sold separately. Only for 9.99G!"

"Rough Glove" - Weapon AT 7. A ragged boxing glove. It's great for ring fights.
DOGBEAT
Music is one aspect we had been neglecting for a while—but we’ve finally started catching up. As of now, we have 14 tracks planned in the full soundtrack. Most of them will be remixes of existing songs, replacing the Enemy Approaching motif with the Stronger Monsters one. There are also some original tracks planned, too!
With Vozaxhi joining recently, we were able to finish one of our first tracks: Dogbeat! It is our rendition of Dogsong, replacing its motif. Have a listen!
Pretty good, right? Hopefully I'm able to show off one of the spots it plays in soon!
CONCLUSION
Whew, that was a lot! I hope you enjoyed this update, even if it took a while to get out.
Thanks for sticking around. See you soon!
