Game
Insectile

Unlike any indie game I've done before, I have this goal with Insectile that the maps should feel "cute" even when zoomed out.
At some point, I'd love to do a time lapse of me building one of these rooms :)

Trying out something new!

I have a long-form video coming out in about an hour. Give it a watch if you like creature collectors, challenge runs, or just hearing devs talk!

✅ Please read the full rules before entering! Good luck!

Okay, this one's silly:

An unsuspecting beach ball you can kick around... but it's actually a pill bug in disguise.

Welcome @PQubeGames to Game Jolt by giving them a follow!

It's Insect Week!

To celebrate, you should play the Insectile Demo!

It has:

- Ladybugs 🐞

- Caterpillars 🐛

- Crickets 🦗

- and many more cute crawlies!

first batch of color variants done, forgot to post last night

i think imma start changing up the outfits so i dont get bored of this

second batch will come later

Placeholder sprite, but I'm working on a new Insectile! I hope they will make the water areas feel much more alive!

I'm revising the date of #InsectileContest just a bit!

Since the winner will not be decided until at least Monday morning, I will be accepting submissions through Sunday night : ) There is still plenty of time to design your own puzzlingly-shaped bug!

@DundlerKraken is a Jolter to Watch, artist, cartoonist, and animator! Follow @DundlerKraken before the quest ends on July 29 and you'll get Coins!

My game can be hard to capture in a quick post because it takes seeing a full match to really grasp.

So, if you can spare 51 seconds, I'd really appreciate your attention and feedback on my turn-based RPG about puzzlingly-shaped bugs! : )
