Version 0.2.0 has been released, which introduces side jobs, but mostly some balance and polish. Read the article for a summary.


New feature: Side jobs

Side jobs are alternatives of getting money. The update introduces the first side job: Dog bartending.

Changes and adjustments

  • Changed the way loading the save file work.
    (IMPORTANT: Because of this, loading an older save file will force you to start in the middle of Seaside Town. Converting it will also reset your stats due to some balancing changes.)

  • Can now open inventory and use items during boss battles.

  • Added "toxicity" mechanic. (Using certain items can give toxicity to the character. If a character has high toxicity, certain items would become unusable.)

  • Health potions can now revive defeated characters.

  • Touching a waypoint automatically restores the party's health and mana.

  • Adjusted textboxes.

  • Adjusted some dialogue and plot.

  • Changed opening cutscene.

  • Reworked Zilch's primary and secondary attack.

  • Reworked Zilch's potential upgrades.

  • Balanced some enemy patterns.

  • Adjusted some cutscenes.

General

  • Added extra visual effects on attacks.

  • Extra visuals on certain areas.

  • Bug fixes.

Next update will mostly focus on editing the game page. Expect some posts and updates to come sooner now.

A strange ruin has been discovered recently, and it reportedly would inflict physical debilitation and weakening to anyone who approaches it. Not for these two, however, so now they're off to investigate what the deal is.

The demo update will include updated visuals, bunch of reworks (again) and a bit of content. The update will come out before next year, probably, maybe, supposedly.

Sneak peek of another playable character's mechanic. Each playable character's going to have unique gameplay and mechanics to give combat variety. I'll have some character showcases next up. Maybe.

Time your button presses to fire massive beams and maintain the flow. Rewards your sense of timing with big damage, and it's good for stress relieving.

"Minigames" disguised as labor. Complete for money, fail for dog abuse

Dog shakes off water. Yes, this is a very important feature and totally worth animating.
