All jokes aside Karl Gumelore wasn't really the first one I had this issue where I couldn't figure out the right design and name so it took me a long time to make them as a result. That humanoid Pikachu oc for example, took a long time, 10 months to get that one right (Although I haven't worked on a name for him but just when writing my mind came up with a name, Spark not official). But the most notable and notorious example was actually Scarlet.

After discovering my bisexuality and Fishy's early steps when became my focus and my self-insert at that time (as well as the Danganronpa phrase), I wanted her to have a girlfriend instead of a boyfriend which was much easier for me to come up with. Originally her name was Ayaka at that time, she only had one brother (being the 26th mastermind and ultimate bartender), and also loved writing similar to the original Scarlet and inspired by Toko. She was however scrapped and her design was forever lost, only appearing in a map host with her old design with her looking like a toko-

However when Fishy came in back in 2022 as I wanted people to call me that to make it easier, I actually came back to the design. I changed her name to Scarlet but for the rest of that year I struggled to make a perfect design for her in Magma. She took this much long until finally somewhere in Mid-late January on a collab I finally made it. Literally took like 2 years to make her design for shit's sake.
