Programming is weird sometimes.
I redrew the main character (totally not Link)! Apparently, I drew the old sprite around 2009, so it was definitely time to update his looks.

A fleet of ships dropping out of warp mid-battle engaging the enemy never gets old. 🤣
This game is mostly ready for second demo however I'm testing level select to ensure it works properly.
