Video Game Review
I played: Stone Forest
It is developed by: Frank zx Studios (@Jack370 )
It is published by: Frank zx Studios
The platform the game is available on: Windows (there maybe a possible release for Linux Operating Systems)
The game is about: A level inside a drinking bar with four characters playing cards and then a swarm of Shadow Creatures start attacking the card playing characters. It is the player’s role to shoot and slice their way out of the horde but more enemies keep pilling in. The game has lots of action to see how long you can last.
My favourite part was: There were other levels such as a green forest in another mode that also has swarms of enemies. The Pixel art has got good form and colour that make the characters visibly distinguishable. The controls have the standard WASD movement and a nice combination with the mouse pointer for shooting and dodging towards the pointer but I would like to dodge according to a combination of WASD and other keyboard presses. So there is room for adding custom key mapping. The green forest has a nice variety of enemies and graphical environment objects such as trees, boxes, fire skeleton horses, bats, non-flammable skeleton horses, shadow men, ape-like shadow creatures, insect-like shadow creatures and a six-armed skeleton man holding fire hot blades which makes part of it a horror game.
I did not like it when: I could not progress to the next level because the function for picking up crystals is not available yet or not clearly understood to the player. Maybe I’ll see Frank zx Studios add this feature in the future.
Rating: Great fun, 4 / 5 Stars
The game works now!!!
I'm trying to extract the game from Downloads to my second disk, but I get an "unexpected error". The disk is obviously not full and I know that, but STILL get this error. WHAT DO I DO?!!
I'm trying to run your game on LInux using a compatability layer tool. What is the executable file to run the game?
