Overview
Diva Project aims to be a one-to-one simulation of the Hatsune Miku: Project Diva series for PSP, PS3, PS Vita, PS4 and Arcade Cabinets. The main gimmick is the addition of completely overhauled graphics and designs which can scale flawlessly up to 4k and possibly 8k and beyond (Only applies to in game graphics).
The basics are simple:
Key differences and elements
Here is the more technical side of things, but also some interesting bits. Sorted into [GRAPHICS], [TECHNICAL] and [GAMEPLAY].
[GRAPHICS] Entire graphical side of things has been revamped, from notes to menus and even to effects, all recreated at a crisp resolution of 512 px which allows the main game to stay crisp at a resolution of 4k and beyond all the way up to a vertical resolution of 5760px (Allowing just over 10k! (in 16:9) That's larger than the biggest commercial TV resolution!)
[GAMEPLAY] Menus are redesigned to be more efficient, all gamemode selections go straight into song select and edit mode is pulled out of any sub menus which it was in during the F series.
[GAMEPLAY] Edit Mode songs are able to run alongside any official songs that may ever get to be released (If there are any, it'll be after a routine which involves convincing the song owner that it's even worth embedding in something free, which probably won't happen for a very long time.)
[GAMEPLAY] A new type of scoring called Acura (Toggle-able except in online), which means leaderboards can be more diverse, with timing measured to a higher fraction and score being given based on time, meaning for example, two people who did the same thing, all got 'Cool' ranks on every note, could have different scores due to minisculy different timings.
[GAMEPLAY] Hold notes from Future Tone but scratch notes from the F series. A decision made because it's simpler for players. Rush notes from X are planned, but I'm not sure about implementing them just yet, they are also annoying as if you aren't careful, you'll end up hitting notes just after it.
[TECHNICAL] Osu! charts can be imported in a very premature form, support for Osu! storyboards (Courtesy of 20kdc) is coming soon, which you can use to replace the mp4 backgrounds if it's too resource intensive for your rig.
[GAMEPLAY] The ability to have still backgrounds! The most annoying thing about Project Diva can be the moving backgrounds, these can now be toggled, for performance or for focus.
[GRAPHICS] Game can run above 60fps, up to however high your PC can run it.
[TECHNICAL] Note path system has been revamped to a more simple curve + direction mechanism rather than the curve system used in Project Diva.
[TECHNICAL] You'll be able to use built in Youtube-DL to download MP4s and MP3s from Youtube using data from the charts metadata. Main use is to reduce file size and to avoid copyright issues from bundling copyrighted content.
[GRAPHICS] A basic skinning system is to be implemented.
[GAMEPLAY] Arcade/Booth mode, which is entirely unlinked from online (Gamebanana, Gamejolt, Discord and Youtube) and starts on song select, also returns to song select via a button on the controller (Select/Back/Share)
[GAMEPLAY] Ability to disable double notes and stars for Future Tone like experience, disconnects from online however.
Goals
Create a definitive Project Diva experience on PC, where the franchise has yet to travel.
Create a stable functioning game, sort of important, y'know?
Create something of the same visual quality or higher of other PC clones of rhythm games such as Osu!, Clone Hero and TJAPlayer.
Make the user experience as complete in-game as possible (eg. Allowing full chart management in game alongside leaderboard management.)

A bit about copyright
The game will only contain music from artists when I have licence to do so or the situation the specific release containing the music is in deems it appropiate to use others work (Say, as part of a fan-game contest or something, where everyone uses second-hand assets).
