Stanley and Lucy Teach Braille

In this callback to Mario Teaches Typing, you take on the role of Lucy, a seeing-eye dog about to get her first human! She'll need to help him navigate the world, but it won't be easy for either of them.

Chord-inate Your Movements

All movement is done via chording with the SDF/JKL keys. Before each level, you'll be presented with a short lesson about braille. This lesson will be put into practice as you chord the prompt at the top of the screen and navigate the level.

Simply moving around isn't enough as there are many hazards and obstacles that you'll need to help Stanley avoid. Chord correctly (it will appear in green) and you'll not only avoid those obstacles but collect lots of treats along the way! Chord incorrectly, and even the smallest of obstacles can trip up Stanley and possibly get him hurt.

Go Anywhere!

Independence is the name of the game, and as you get better and learn more, Stanley will surely grow more confident and want to explore more of the world. Are you up to the challenge?

Materials Used and Other Misc.

This game utilizes the current Unified English Braille, updated 2016. If a new version is released, the game will reflect it as soon as possible.

While in Early Access, game version reads as follows: [Completed Areas].[Extra Levels].[Level Changes] The current version 1.1.0 means there is one completed area, one extra level outside of that, and no minor changes or updates have been made to the existing levels.

-General updates below-

NEW PACKAGES AVAILABLE NOW!

Version 1.1.0 is now available for Linux and Windows

-Platform bugs fixed where player fell through the floor

-Area 2 accessible through Level 8

-Minor spiffing up, wax and polish

Brief update after minor absence because I had to take some time to do some major planning.

Ah, yes, Grandpa and Grandma's old farmhouse, with a million rooms, basement full of mason jars, and the old '57 Chevy in the garage

I mean, not my Gramma and Grampa, but someone's, right?

With exception of some minor odds and ends, the home interior sheet is finished, which means I can start on all the levels. The next house (level 9) is an old farmhouse, the kind that had a bazillion rooms
