Rogue: Day Zero
This idea came to me a while back but this is the first time I've tried to put it into practice.
My goal is to make RDZ something different from the large majority of the Roguelikes out there. To make it more of a Sim/RPG in an open world, rather than a dungeon-based game.
Basically, you start out at the first day of a zombie outbreak... encounters with other people are common, there is little panic, and plenty of supplies. As time goes on though, society falls apart and supplies become scarce and the number and types of enemies grow.
Goals:
Persistent world that changes based on your actions. Follows the collapse of society. It'll be more of an RPG/Sim sort of thing.
Infinite, procudurally generated world... at least until your computer can't hold the save files anymore.
Many varied types of enemies, supplies, armor, weapons, etc...
Combat system involving various bodyparts, which can change how you have to fight. Maybe organs for non-zombies as well... I'm not sure about this yet.
And More...
The current version implements sectors, meaning that you can move between different areas now and can reenter ones you've left.
I'm a full time college student right now, so updates may be sporadic, but I'll try to update as often as I can.
Controls:
NumPad and Arrow Keys to move around, G to pick up items (Shown by "!"), I to check your inventory, and Z to check health and status of your body.
