Slender Nightmare's Star-flier (Prototype Game)

After making the three creepy Pokémon games in 2023, I didn’t want to make any more of them. But I still felt the desire to create games—just different kinds, maybe using different engines.

I tried things like FPS Creator, a Game Boy engine, RPG Maker, and even GDevelop Studio. I didn’t even remember, but in 2026, after not logging into the account for years, I discovered that I had made two prototypes at the end of August 2023. One was space-themed, called Starflier, and the other was named Marie.

Marie hadn’t even really been started—maybe it was just a rough pre-draft. But Starflier was a 2D platformer where you played as the Sun and had to dodge asteroids. You could also earn points by collecting gems from UFOs, and the ammount and positions of the asteroid were random and bizzarre, and slowly also more difficult little by little in the game. However, recently I changed the Sun because it felt illogical—since the Sun would realistically destroy everything—so I made the Earth the protagonist instead, and I also fixed and adjusted a few other small things. :)

I changed also the title of it, from Starflier to Star-Flier.

Maybe you can consider this game as a spiritual sequel of the 2016 Star game, haha, as it is similar, and has the Earth and Moon that appeared in Star.

And in that exact period, in 2026, I decided to do, with GDevelop engine, also a new game, a 3D one, named The Goblin.
