Welcome to Your New Home

It started as just an ordinary day, but by nightfall, you found yourself taken captive, on your way to a new land, a new home, with new people. You don't know the rules, and you don't speak the language. If you try to run, they'll hunt you down. All you can do at this point...is try.

But That Would Be Too Easy, Wouldn't It?

Life isn't easy in this new village, but an attack by an unusual foe suddenly pushes ordinary cares by the wayside. Who were they? Why did they attack? What are these artifacts that they have left behind?

Today's progress includes...roughing in character creation, roughing in treasure chests, beginning environmental elements, adding info to the pause features, and adding info to the various databases (items, charms, etc.).

Items can be gotten, and you can see what you got. Also got the PC base fixed so he's proportional and looks human. Next I'm either going to tackle character creation or quest mechanics. Probably character creation because I already started that...

Inventory is basically up and running. I have a weird obsession with pause menus, I think, like I have to get them done as soon as possible. Which means stats, inventory, save/load, settings, all the fun* stuff

Yes! I am alive! Big things are happening over here! You can read the article if you want, but tl;dr, the style of the game is changing. The focus remains the same, but the means are going to be (much) different.

Got my dialogue back on track, almost working perfectly, but I think it's Godot that's being the pain From this, I can complete my NPC upgrades and then finish Area 8

Well I accomplished a whole heap of nothing today.
Not entirely true. I upgraded my NPCs and managed to break my dialogue and I don't know why. It worked for one, but not for many. But it is way too late for me to care right now, so night night

This jerk is eating my plants and he thinks I want to talk to him?
