What do you think?

Great game! i have a few suggestions for the game because im soooo friggin cool

1: health system

the health hud is just there, you get insta-killed anyways so its useless,

whenever the player gets attacked the monster will deal damage (depends on the difficulty and/or monster [next suggestion])

and temporarily gets slowed down, gives the player a slight speedboost and 50% stamina is given back to the player (if the player lost any stamina)

basically gives the player time to run away from the monster

2: difficulty

difficulty settings in the.... You guessed it! settings!!!!

difficulties

easy: really slow stamina drain and fast stamina regen. toolgun scan and patch range is increased by 10% with the scan cooldown being slightly faster,

monsters have low visibility and are slightly slower, most monsters will deal 25-50 damage.

normal: slightly slow stamina drain and moderate stamina regen, toolgun scan and patch is normal,

monsters deal 50-75 damage

hard:

just the normal game lol

3: vignette toggle/opacity setting

i genuinely think the vignette in this game gave me claustrophobia and i dont even have that phobia😭

4: endless mode

its an endless.. mode

can be unlockable by beating the game, but you can still play it without beating the game, you'll just have a spoiler warning before you play.

you start out in GM_Construct, garry greets you and says: "I am bored. Entertain me." before "disconnecting"

there is no longer a time limit, instead it will tell you how much time you've been in endless and how many levels you've been through

objects are randomized (if possible)

and enemies as-well are randomized.

i lied, theres still a time limit, if youve been in the level for too long garry will appear, but more aggressive (slightly faster but time freeze is really short)

enemy count will increase as you go on

when you open the last door (door will just have an open door but not actually let you through), garry will freeze the world, appear, and then play some dialogue before sending you to a random level.

(unlocks noclip in every level and a fake command panel [literally sandbox with the debug commands] and lastly an extra level called “GM_superflatgrass” [basically a flat pane so that you can fuck around with the commands easier])

(achievement can be pushed back a bunch of levels since this feels too much for just a sandbox mode lol)

level 50-inf

“fine, keep going.”

This game is so hard i cant even get past the first level bro

awesome idea. gm_13hotel tunnels map with ratman enemy, has a scan gimmick, once you hear him scanning you gotta stop moving or he'll know exactly where you are for abt 10 seconds

I may make a vid reviewing this cuz I had a lot of fun but I have some stuff to say. One thing I'd like to say here is that I think that for both maps the enemies should've swapped places.

Meaty's Domain is canonically Construct in his Creepypasta and Mingebags normally used to grift in RP servers, so Meaty and Semper could've been on Construct while Mingebag could've gotten buffed to fit Big City (He has a Gravity Gun he never uses and a rule breaker enemy in a map that punishes you if you break the rules would be peak game design, plus I think the timer should be reduced if done so cuz even with both Meaty and Semper you always have 3 minutes to spare when you're done fixing ).

I LOVE GM_SLAUGHTERHOUSE AND IF THE GAME EVER GETS AN UPDATE I WANT IT TO BE ABOUT HEADSMAN I LOVE HIM, add more booby traps and torture devices with more ways to deal with Headsman in some way and that'd be genuine BEST level in the game, and if that never happens atleast decorate gm_slaughter with ragdoll corpses to meet up with the level's name "Ragdoll Torture".

gm_graveyard is the perfect ending level for the game and the best boss fight the game could've had, have genuinely no complains, genuine masterpiece.

Freedom is dissapointing, it feels like what Level 1 should've been rather than a Post-Game Extra challenge. Genuinely played it both times and haven't died once in it due to how Null (who is a PERFECT plot twist btw, the ACTUAL Mingebag refusing to die when the game no longer needs him is peak writting) is pretty much reskinned Mingebag, which makes him easily jukeable and is only the ghost of a threat because of how small the map is and how fast he walks when not agro'd. Maybe it's on purpose, but I think it'd fit better the whole theme of "Thing the server is actively trying to delete" would be if Null could undo some of our patches as a consequence of him refusing to die or block some entry ways so that we have to plan a strategy to move throughout Flatgrass.

Outside of needing to swap enemies in Construct & Big City, and a pretty needed buff for Null in Freedom, this game is a 8,5/10 (9/10 without counting Freedom) and this may be your best project EVER, excited to actually disect this if Art School doesn't get in the way!

You love playing Garry's Mod. One day, you decided you wanted to get every achievement for the game, and you managed to do so... except for one: "Yes, I am the real Garry!".

An achievement you get only by being in a multi-player server with the game's creator: Garry Newman. And speaking of which, he's inside a server right now... but something is off.

You manage to enter, but he's already gone... and you can't leave. To make matters worse, the server is full of missing textures, error models, and monsters.

"Where’s Garry" is a 3D stealth horror game inspired by Garry’s Mod and its community mythos.

You explore corrupted “servers” of twisted versions of iconic GMod maps riddled with errors and hostile entities. Your goal is to locate, scan, and repair each error while staying hidden from the creatures hunting you through every map.

Controls:

WASD - Moving (You move with these, dummy)
Shift - Sprint (Watch that stamina)
Left Click - Press / Shoot (You either click buttons or shoot)
Q - Switch Modes (You switch Toolgun modes)
Esc - Pause (You pause the game...)

  1. How do I install this game?
    Installing is simple:

    1. Download the .zip file of the game based on your preferences from the download page.

    2. Right-click the .zip file and select Extract (or use your preferred extraction tool).

    3. Open the extracted folder and double-click "Where's Garry.exe" to start playing!

    Maybe? (depending on how I feel like).

  3. What about an Android/IOS port of the game?
    I can try, I guess, but don't rely on this answer

    Preferably on my Discord server directly, but you can also do so right here on the game's page!

  5. Is this a virus?
    No, but sometimes Windows triggers Unity games as such

  6. How do I add my own languages to the game?
    Open the Where's Garry_Data folder and go to Languages (it will be created the first time you run the game). Copy one of the existing .json files and change the values only (not the keys) to create your own language.

All of the models used in the game, the textures, and a portion of the sounds were taken directly from Valve's "Half Life 2", same with the music used, with a portion of it being from "Portal 2". "Garry's Mod" is a video game owned by Facepunch Studios.
