Game
Through The Fragmentation

A couple of thoughts and a few new screenshots from the upcoming update

First of all:

Don't worry! - I'm still working on the game. The development has admittedly slowed down quite a bit, since I have been having way too many university related duties recently.

Good news is the surprisingly enthusiastic testing team (which has grown since my last post) helped me finding lots of bugs, errors, glitches - and improving the game in general.

One of the most important changes from the technical aspect was including a resolution setting in the settings menu. It lists all resolutions supported by the player's computer.

The new area includes lots of quirky moments, characters, and even secrets the players will hopefully enjoy to find.

Another circumstance I need to consider is the holidays are usually just too busy for everyone (including players and developers as well), which means I probably shouldn't release the game till the beginning of the next year anyway.

The Hidden Fragmentation was released around Christmas and everyone was so busy it quickly disappeared even before it could have the chance of going on the radar at all (or at least that was how I saw that).

Later on you can optionally return to the new starting area and some of the NPCs will remember you

Fortunately Through The Fragmentation has a more defined social media support (including a friendly and lively community on Discord), but I don't want to risk releasing it in an unfortunate time period. Even big studios pay lots of attention on releasing dates.

A WIP non-euclidean space in the Fragmentation level of Through The Fragmentation.

Through The Fragmentation was originally a cross-platform point and click adventure game with multiple dialog options and tons of lore to explore.

The main reason I switched back to first person was I felt the third person perspective very limited.

Me and the testing team be like

It's almost surreal to say, but... the game is completed! There is a huge chance it'll get released till this weekend.

When you're working with graphics relying almost entirely on simple flat colors and color gradients, it's quite important to know if players with any type of color blindness will still be able to play your game.

This is really weird. Am I the only one who gets redirected to this page whenever I'm trying to open a HTML build of a Unity game?

͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Guess what's going to happen today!

Released a slight remaster of The Hidden Fragmentation. Version 1.1.0 fixes the technical issues the original game suffered from. Also, there is 64bit support and a new volume control as well.

I'll have some pretty interesting news related to Through he Fragmentation soon, but till then... @TophatParty created a wikipage for The Hidden Fragmentation. Feel free to check it out - or even participating in it: the-hidden-fragmentation.fandom.com
