To further continue this some, I will probably patch it after December is over. As I need to take a break, I did a ton of code refactoring. And I really tried to get some kind of fun sandbox out, when I was just met with constant errors when trying to build the game out. I'll have to look into these errors at a later date than now, and find some ways to prevent
1) the water that's supposed to be in the starter area from disappearing when building the game out
2) the TNT crashing the game, that's never happened with me until building the game out.
But honestly at this point in time, Godots kind of pissing me off so I am truly sorry for a lackluster sandbox to fuck around in but it's the best I could do to keep up with what I promised.
This also marks the last time I'll be doing a sandbox build, not just because of Godot giving me builds that are entirely different from what I was testing in-engine, but also because I'm just going to fully focus in on the actual game development itself now. So if I go silent for months, it isn't because the game isn't being worked on, its because it fully is being worked on.
Anyway, Merry Christmas and have a great day!
Next up
Christmas update, coming sometime soon! #CrashBandicoot #Fangame #indie
Thought it'd be cool to show off what the first island looks like so far, so here's a few screenshots.
Did some work on a new area, nothing here *yet*
I'm probably going to release a demo of this level, once it's complete. Just need to finish a few systems up, get some animations in, and finish the last part of the level. Will also make a little teaser or something before releasing the demo
Not Dead Yet!
Update No. 1: Here's the current state of the game, currently I have just the basic movement in with some WIP animations. And art from R2/R3 for the assets
Development has Re-started! Read below..
Christmas update is actually close to done, I'm deciding to just drop it when I feel its fine. Remember it is extremely WIP still, and this is the last sandbox release I do till a proper future demo. This is not going to have a lot to it
I've been hard at work making some of the basic features in Rayman. Here's the purple lums in action, well, in a screenshot. Thinking about posting a little playthrough of the Woods of Light level I've been making
Another preview of the game. Woods of light during the night time
