Chronicles of Bushido has received it's first major update! A new story mission has been added, many bugs were fixed and the game, overall, improved! Remember to transfer your saves to the new version!


The village of Shinen, close to Akita, is now open to exploration - provided you finished the previous in-game mission... As for the changes, gaze upon the list:
A new adventure is upon us! Travel to the Shinen village to uncover the animosity of the presiding lords and put a stop to their evil practices! Magic, curses and evil abound!

  • Bosses have gotten tougher! Aside from HP and MP buffs depending on your party count, the bosses now also receive a percentage increase to their other stats!

  • Parry has been enhanced to incentivize using it and make boss battles more bearable.

  • Enemies have received a slight buff in the form of being able to crit.

  • Skills that use the bow now all end your turn to prevent cheesing. Engage in glorious melee, you cowards.

  • Flash Grenades have been renamed into Blinding Eggs. Those were a real thing - here.

  • Passing the Kwaidan mission without killing anyone now earns you bonus Experience and On!

  • You can now buy Buddhist rosaries from Fujio at the Dragonfly Temple!

  • More Magic Grass was added to the tutorial so it's easier to pass it.

  • Meditation previously made the Light spell and Lanterns redundant, but now it works as it should.

  • Sacred Texts have been properly reassigned to their own skill category.

  • The Forgery skill now has actual use!

  • The Lord's Corpse item is now removed upon burying it.

  • Bandages now properly heal 10 HP without any variance.

  • The previously useless room in the Ji-zamurai mansion now has a chest with some loot.

  • Asamimura villagers now have new dialogue if Silly Mode is on!

  • The suit of armor in the Ji-zamurai manor doesn't respawn now.

  • Guard has been properly renamed to Wait.

Many of the bugs have been found due to the help of my good friend @Maken188295 ! In general, he has been of huge support to me during the game's development - I would be obliged if you could show some kindness to his games as well. You'll enjoy them if you like some well-written dialogues and tricky combat!
