I deeply apologize for the three-month long wait, friends, but at long last the new version of Bushido has been released! We're very close to the finishing like - just three small missions, one big one and then - the end! I hope to able to finish the game before New Year arrives, if not, then I'll commit seppuku! Pf-f-ft, just joking.
The long wait for the update was caused by multiple reasons. First off is many other people requiring help from me, and although I despise my good side I still ventured out and provided art, feedback, mapping or translation for their stuff. For now I mostly got everything out of the way so I'm free to work on my own stuff! Hell yeah! However, I don't feel as much of a spirit for Bushido as I did before - that's mostly caused by me looking forward to my next game - Draconia 2, or, if we go by it's real title, Chronicles of the Wilderlands. I have a lot of ideas for it that I can't wait to begin implementing, but, alas, I have to finish this game first.
I could always just drop Bushido, say it's cancelled and allat but that wouldn't be right. I've invested a lot of time into it and I would like to see it made - it's a big game unlike any other on gamejolt. After all, what other RPG lets you give birth and then side by side with your offspring, or, even better, have your own child replace you as the party head in case of your untimely demise? I don't know any other game that lets you die of old age like Bushido does, either! My biggest inspirations for the game are certainly Blade of the Immortal and Samurai Deeper Kyo - both are complete and majestic stories. I could never achieve the same level of greatness, of course, but it's good to aspire to something. And as such, I aspire to make Bushido a finished, good game.
