Cool concept art I made yesterday

This character comes from an old project I made back in 2021 called Klaw’s Mall. I doubt anyone remembers it—it was a Scratch game I created when I had maybe 10 followers, and it only got around 60 views before I took it down earlier this year. Honestly, the game wasn’t great, but I had a few interesting ideas while working on it. One of them was a koala animatronic.

Klaw’s Mall was basically a Five Nights at Freddy’s clone. The original character was a serial killer named Jackson Michael (I think?) who died inside something called a “stab lock suit.” I know it sounds wild, but I genuinely thought it was a unique concept at the time. The character’s original name was “Stabtrap,” which… yeah, maybe not my best idea. That whole series was pretty rough.

For the new version, the character has changed a lot. The animatronic now has pins throughout its endoskeleton that hold everything together. Any parts that don’t need wiring or mechanical components are just covered with a shell to save on unnecessary costs. The torso opens up and is also pinned to the frame. There’s a crank on the back that loosens the pins for maintenance—smart in theory.

One member of the Rellick family, trying to carry on his great-great-grandfather’s legacy, wanted to make the process more efficient. Instead of trapping victims, he’d earn their trust first—by putting the animatronics into maintenance mode and wearing them like suits. But eventually, things didn’t go as planned…

This a cool setup?

Gameplay so far. Most of what I need to add is visual, as you can see, but development is going well. This was recorded in 20/20/20/20/0 mode, FYI, which is why it's so chaotic.

I haven't gotten much done yet, but I love what I currently have. Normally there are 3 stages before Sammy will jumpscare you, but there's a small chance he will before then, which is what happened in my first time playing.

I'm going to make a few more scratch games before I move to professional game development and begin the main Recursive canon games.

I think this is the perfect model for the game

I got bored so I spent three hours condensing the Rellick Legacy into one drawing.

Here's the refined version that the actual game will use. I just updated the tech a little bit so it would work better, and because it's supposed to be almost a century later.

Started working on the cameras, but I haven't actually added any yet.

Made a hallucination for the game. If you know what's going on here already, you're probably MatPat.

Still struggling on trying to think of a reason for players to look at the cameras. If you guys have any ideas, I'd be happy to hear them, plus you'll get your name in the credits.
