Demo release 17.02.17


Hello there dear followers of this RPG:

First of all, there is been a bit of a slowdown. I don’t want any pity, but I had to take a rest of mental problems following me for the past 41 years, and then I easily tend to exhaust myself, so I had a long break.

I’m back now, and let’s party!!!

First of all demo version 17.02.17-alpha4 is being uploaded right now. If you don’t see it yet, it will appear soon. So please check the version number prior to downloading. For client users the demo should update automatically as soon as the uploading of this update is complete.

Changelog:

  • FIXED: This is one you won’t easily see, but if you would ever require stuff able to instantly kill the enemy the save-rolls of the enemy would always fail. Well this would make it VERY easy to kill everything in your path, so this one has been fixed.

  • FIXED: And this one was an odd one. When Marrilona would after her first one acquire a new Mana Orb, she would not learn the new spell attached to the chosen element until you checked the skill stats in the menu first. This issue has been fixed. Older savegames might still suffer, but then you can still check the skill stats in the menu and then try things out in battle and she’ll learn, so savegames damaged by this bug can “fix themselves” this way, but new damage should no longer occur.

  • FIXED: Multi-target-multi-card abilities generated too many cards, and this could create very crazy battle situations which could work as well in your favor or create a guaranteed “game over” situation. Either was undesirable, and since this was the result of a bug, this has been fixed.

  • FIXED: Accelerator didn’t work at all. It does now.

  • And this one affects Marrilona. It appeared I forgot the single-target-wind-attack spell for Marrilona. This has been added. The “empower” spell Marrilona has, has been moved to a higher-level spell and will therefore be unavailable in the demo. People who already obtained it will no longer be able to use it in the demo, but the spell will be available (and activated) in the full version of the game.

  • And like always there are some minor fixes coming along too.

  • Some spells and items previously not animated when used, may be animated now ;)

Outside the demo a lot has happened too.

  • I made Jake’s Spirata transformation work so enjoy folks (as soon as the full version is out) :P

  • I did some experiments on the plasma floors in the Spirata temples and the outcome is A LOT better now.

  • Half of the Wind Temple has been done.

  • Fandalora (Marrilona’s old man) will in the full game be available as a master.

  • New items and spells have been worked out

  • Dandor is now available in the full version as a playable character although I do need a little tweaking on him. Those tweaks will not affect the demo.

I think I really need to redo that hat in the Dutch dress-up, as I think that's downright terrible, but at least you have a bit of a feeling what the language section screen in the new version will look like. (EDIT: I did a second attempt. Better?)

Can you see why this pyramid deal could never be solved from the start (regardless what the already removed cards are)?

No more launcher needed in the new game, however I kept in Marrilona's dress-ups in the load-game screen based on the current time of the year.
