Over the last few days, I've been working on our new dynamic in-game cinematic system. It's almost complete now, with trigger-able player and NPC animations and as well as NPC movement, plus camera moves, music and dialogue.
ps. Not actual game content!
Next up
I updated our old 2D helper NPC icons with new 3D ones. Much happier with these. More sparkles too! :D
New texture designs for the mysterious geodesic lines that appear on the ground in our first zone: The Thunderstone Geometries.
Today I made some updates to the Quests panel β which is now called the Progress Log. As well as showing the Quests the player has, it now also shows the percentage completed for the current Zone.
The Symmetron Pillar is now visible almost everywhere in the level β I wanted to add it in as a constant reminder of the bigger objective and context. Had to fiddle with some shaders and textures to get it appearing in spite of the global fog settings.

Today I'm just working on improving some dialogue UI β but it's part of a bigger project where we are expanding our dialogue system and exploring adding voice acting for ALL game dialogue, which is exciting! π
