Progress Update: I've Created a Monster...

Hey, all!

This update is gonna be a bit on the shorter side, (and a bit word heavy), but figured I'd give a bit of a proper update on where the game is at in general.

So as I'm writing this, Test Build 7 is up for the private playtesters to sink their teeth into. While almost all the content I intended to add is more or less set to go, some of it will require a bit more testing to fine tune some altered mechanics. It is my curse that something will inevitably be broken in some capacity.

Content wise, this one is shaping up to be a solid "add-on" to the sorta-done-but-not-really Update 2. We've got new characters. We've got new skills. We've got a few new costumes. We've got loads of new powerups. We've got new challenge fights with an all new set of skills.

I've also packed in two of the cruelest boss designs I think I've ever brainstormed for this project, so that's fun.

Suffice to say, if you were looking for stuff to do in the base game, this should (hopefully) scratch that itch. And if you were hoping for fixes, there's also a lot of those going around as well. Just about every corner of the game has gotten touched upon in one way or another.

At the moment, I'm aiming to have it ready to go before October 27th... for totally no reason at all. I will try to add in some extra costumes in the downtime I have, and will obviously try to iron out the inevitable bugs that will come out of the woodwork.

In any case, I appreciate the feedback and am looking forward to dropping this update soon-ish!

'Till next time!

P.S. Might as well post one more little screenshot before the radio silence kicks in...

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

New look, new direction.

While I chip away at the code for XL, I might as well show off the fruits of another thing I had tinkered with: modding custom music into Bionicle Heroes.

Still deciding if it's worth committing to a full rebuild, but I at least figured out a better way to handle the party swapping mechanic.

Save file stuff (sidequests, maps and "autosaving") might currently be a troublesome mess, but at least development on OCN is going pretty smooth.

I might be having too much fun with this process...

Yeah, we're doing this.

New project is having a fun, early outing.

Pretty safe to say that Possy will be increasing the price of costumes to compensate for this recent development.
