We wanted to update you guys on George & Yu development, where we're at and when you can expect the game to come out. To begin...

TRAILER & STATUS UPDATE

If you missed it, we dropped our first full trailer for the reboot of the game. Give it a watch, it killed the team's soul to make.

If you watched this trailer, you likely noticed we listed "This Year (Probably)" as release. It's a good thing that (Probably) was there, because unfortunately, it looks unlikely that we will be releasing this year.

To talk about the game's status, Chapter 1, overall, is done completely in terms of content. We're polishing some stuff, but it should be done in that regard by the end of the year if all is well.

However, as you've noticed from our trailer, we've shown off voice acting. Still not really sure how this happened, but yeah! Unfortunately, we've had some issues with scheduling and our voice actors need more time in order to record lines. We'll get there, and our voice actors have done an amazing job so far, so it'll be more than worth the wait.

Also wanted to talk more about our voice cast. We currently have a rather hefty trope of VAs, which we will reveal upon the game's release, due to certain roles being spoilery as of current. To list the actors involved in the trailer, however...

BATTLE STUFF

We've been working hard on making battles as fun as possible within the confines of RPG Maker combat, which is hell, because it's RPG Maker combat. However, here's a few small things.

BATTLE VOICELINES

We're currently working on adding voicelines in-battle. Here's a preview of what we've done!

SHUFFLE TIME

Post-battle, you have the chance to gain the ability to choose a card from a deck, and get a result pertaining to that card. Additionally, All-Out Attacks guarantee them to show up. Get items, temporary stat-boosts, and... Nevil? You'llll... probably just have to see what that one does yourself.

FURTHER BATTLE UPDATES

When switching Styles or Personas, it will no longer consume a turn, and instead enter a cooldown state.

Additionally, some Duo Attacks will have cooldowns upon casting. Make sure to use your TP wisely!

TROPHY SHOWCASE

You'll now be able to collect Achievements based on your actions throughout your playthrough! Some are harder to get than others... not this one, though. This one's piss easy to get.
