Retro Revival Christmas Build is live!

retro_revival_xmas_build.png

After plenty of delays, here's a brand new update!

Oh, and before I get bombarded by comments about it, I will address a rampant issue:

Some anti-virus programs will detect the game (and many other Clickteam games) as a virus. You would need to ignore/restore the game to continue.

Unfortunately this is not something I can really fix on my end without spending a small fortune on third party certification.

New Content:

-Got your hands on a Disc? Then you might be able to take on the first Virus battle! If you can beat this oddly familiar foe, you might be able to save a friend!

And by "friend", I mean "one of the OG derelicts": Alphus.

-A classic character has arrived: Endo-02!

-Oh, and now that we have a character in that can use it, I can also mention Neon Wall is now usable!

-Oh, and Solar Ball is here as well!

-A long time coming, a brand new Flipside costume can be purchased for Mangle!

-Since the season of giving is right around the corner, Holiday Freddy can also be purchased!

(Just use the arrows next to the shop name to navigate between costume themes.)

-Added a missing sound to the player level up

-Poison status effect now plays a sound while active

-Damage numbers for enemies now pop up when attacks collide

Fixes:

-Optimized multiple skill damage number values to be more reliable

-Readjusted layer position of Gift Boxes so they don't ominously float in front of their users

-Fixed skill button text not displaying correctly on certain unlock screen

-Fixed some value checks so skill descriptions can be viewed

-Re-added the Find: Coins Chip back to the screen

-Fixed an issue with Find: Coins only being able to be added to the last 2 slots

-Finally fixed an issue with the Lilygear Lake trigger not saving properly

-Adjusted values on Mini Bosses spawn rates so they (hopefully) won't perform back-to-back attacks

-Altered the values that keep track of costumes

-Buffed the initial duration of the Headstart chips

(From 10 seconds to 30 seconds)

-Rebuilt Plush Storm skill to be less potent

(2000+ - 200+ > for damage, 500+ > 50+ for health)

-Adjusted values so that Chip Chests and other non-renewable items will not respawn

-Adjusted position of Pizza Wheel launchers

And that's about it for now. Hopefully next time I can get a certain broken character properly fixed and able to be used publicly.

'Till next time!

So, Plan B: The remainder of tonight will run V1 of a solo OCN mode, with an updated version coming tomorrow during the end of the con.

(And a further refined public release of this later on. If there's interest.)

Guess I did a terrible job advertising the items most crucial to this recent update.

(At least it's good to know people can find all of the discs without any extra hints on my part.)

No poll for today, though I figured a sneek peek at the next update's changelog is warranted.

Me: Man, I really wanted to have something released for the 10th anniversary, but I have nothing ready for it!

Clickteam: *drops trailer for Five Laps at Freddy's*

Me: *Finally remember that I still have a janky ace up my sleeve*

Suppose it was about time that some of these skills got a little extra kick.

Yeah, we're doing this.

Not quite the fix I've been talking about for the past few weeks, but it's at least progress.

Can't wait to meet you!

Still have to address a few tweaks to layering and test some other sidequests, but I think that we're back on track again.
