Small battle details


The targeted jump now has a line that shows where you will jump if you target a specific enemy. Most of the code for it was grabbed from the already existing way rpg maker vx ace calculates a character's jump height & distance.

And also a small animation of the target cursor when it finds an enemy, which before was just a resized version of the giant target cursor used in battle.

Another thing is how you can pick elements now. Before you had to wait until it was your turn to choose what element you want, but now you can directly pick from the menu, meaning you won't forget what element you had seconds before because you are testing it at 3 in the morning. (🥲)

The skill slots also now grey out if they are unavailable. iterating over the pixels of a Bitmap is amazingly slow, so slow, there were no optimizations left I could think of in ruby and I had to iterate over them with C++ code in a DLL instead. And all of that just to make it grey. Greyscaling them was already there in older devlogs, but there they still did the iteration stuff in ruby.

The rest of these two weeks were spent on optimizing my old spaghetti code so I don't get sad just looking at that mess. Now it is cleaner and faster.
