Most issues of the closed beta are now taken care of. At least the ones I want fully fixed before I open the beta publicly. ;)
If I don’t have too many setbacks I might even get that done the upcoming week or at least the week after that. It all depends on how things go.
Due to this one of the days in the upcoming week (probably Wednesday, but if things go faster than predicted even sooner) the demo will be taken off-line, in order to prepare that package for the first open beta which will then replace the demo. Once the the open beta package has been fully uploaded and processed I shall open that package again. The Game Jolt client should then automatically replace the demo with the open beta.
When the first official stable version is released, I shall most likely put on the same process.
Like I said before:
All savegames from the demo should be fully compatible with the open beta and also with the stable release
The demo only has no support for the Anna system. That was because the system was not available when the demo was released. Savegame files cannot not be adapted for that, unfortunately.
The crash bug that can happen during starting a new game or loading a savegame shall not be fixed anymore in the demo, as that bug “fixes itself” as soon as the open alpha appears. If you get struck by it in the demo, just try it again and the it should work. It only happens randomly.
The demo only allows you to play until you get yourself your own spaceship. Once you’re there you can save your game and load it in the beta to continue your adventure. ;)
