Just wanted to say I'm continuing this project. Last post I made on my profile was me saying I would cancel this game, and technically a large amount of the story I had worked on is going to change. Rather than this just being a redemption arc for Dark, I'm probably doing this in various "acts" mocking various over used movie/tv tropes. Muppy Muddington Tales Act 1 will be a spoof on the typical Haunted House Horror Movies(The ones where stupid teens go into stupid place and do stupid things and get killed by random "scary" monster version 5 billion) with a small redemption arc side plot. Act 2 will likely be a mock the of the generic "I have friends so I defeat evil" type show with finishing off the redemption arc. Anyways, in terms of development I've got some good progress on the engine, and worked it back to the point it was before the last crash that destroyed a lot of my projects(which was a very barebones engine but still).I don't have an estimated release date, but once I get a few areas done I'll share a demo. Also making the old one public again temporarily.
Next up
Wanted to try my hand at digital painting, I like how it came out.
I'm going to try to get a new demo out soon, the prologue is roughly %75 complete, it's technically beatable other than boss fights, bonus levels, the sub area, and some cutscenes, it really needs some major touch ups though(especially Heatway Desert).
Haven't finished Muppy's redesign, but I did get around to animating the new redesigned Lilly some.
I might give Lilly her own spinoff as I continue with making Muppy Tales she's quickly turning out to be such a banger character. It's crazy to me now that in the pre-rewrite of the story she only was planned to be on screen for less than 30 seconds total
Progress is going smoothly once again, my attempts at animating the cutscenes are still...not good, but I am learning.
Finally re-did the designs for the main trio in my new style.
Redoing the world map to be less linear, really liking how it's turned out so far. Still W.I.P. Obviously
After several shipping delays *it* has arrived DUN DUN DUN!!!
Merry Christler! And a Happy Mew Years!
Gave him a striped shirt and some spikier hair.
