YEAH. Now that was a break I needed. But as promised, here I am. In the meantime I've done the assets for a good handful of fighters and backed them up.
But now, back to development.
I've made a big adjustment to edges. And I've tested the crap out of em and I'm ALMOST there. They're handled much more consistently now, but now I know what the issue was. The vertical (Y) position is always different when actually GRABBING the edge (on the actual CliffCatch animation). For some weird reason it seems to depend on where I am when I grab the edge. Mid jump, it works fine. But when falling downward, it's all weird. I just need to figure out how I can fix THAT and we're in business. And I think I may have just figured out how.
Next up, I'm thinking of making a BIG change to my lighting setup for the test stage. I'll show it when I'm done working on it, if I choose to do it.
I've also made a few changes to the attack controls. You can now slightly tilt your Right analog stick to throw out tilts on the fly! And I'm also adding the ability to Rstick a dash attack while running.
I'm also going to change the knockback animation setup. As it is now, it's very "hacky" and prone to error. So I have another solution in mind.
It's not much, but it's in the right direction! So I'll get back to it now, and I'll see you all around!
