Excellent game, very underrated.

Just finished the demo, and I gotta say this is one of the most well-developed RPG Maker titles out there! I'm hooked on the story and can't wait to see where it goes!

Hey, started playing it and already made quite some progress - I love your game! Will I be able to keep my progress with future updates?

This seems really interesting

ABOUT THIS GAME

Step into Timeland—a cursed world where time stands frozen and where ancient magic courses through the lands. In Another Realm, you take on the role of Jimmy, a young man searching for his missing brother in a world filled with strange, yet familiar creatures. Along the way, you’ll unlock powerful memories that the characters struggle with, uncover hidden truths and solve puzzles in a time-frozen reality.

In your quest, you’ll encounter powerful magic, ancient totems that unlock fragments of the past. As you journey deeper into Timeland, you’ll discover that your ability to touch these magical totems—once the power of mages alone—holds the key to unlocking the realm’s deepest mysteries and your fate.

Will you find your way back home, or will you discover a new purpose in this mysterious world?

Multiple Game Modes:

Adventure Mode:

For those who crave a balanced RPG experience, Adventure Mode offers engaging turn-based battles, strategic progression, and intricate puzzle-solving.

Equip your party with progressively more powerful weapons and armor as you level up and unlock unique skills.

With around 12 hours of gameplay, you’ll face progressively tougher challenges that test both your combat abilities and puzzle-solving skills.

Story Mode:

If combat isn’t your focus and you prefer to dive deeper into the narrative, Story Mode offers a streamlined experience where all random and forced battles are removed.

Journey through Timeland with the focus on storytelling and character development, free from combat distractions.

This mode is perfect for players who want to immerse themselves in the world, characters, and narrative without the need for strategic combat encounters.

A new demo has been uploaded showcasing some of the more recent changes and additions. Story wise, it ends at the same place as previous iterations.

Any feedback is always welcomed.

EDIT: Demo updated to fix a few crash issues.

2022 Update

Small progress update. The Glacious region (2nd boss area) has almost been completed after many reiterations. Previous areas have had many small updates/fixes. Focus now is balance testing prior to new additions. New images added also!

Wow, it's been 3 months since the last update. So, what is new?

Previously, progress was very very slow due to other commitments. These have now ended and thus, I'm able to return to this with much more commitment now. Expect updates more frequently.

A sneak peak of the 2nd main boss region, as well as a first look at a new mechanic that has been added. Older areas are having a revisit where you will be able to make use of this mechanic and obtain items previously inaccessible should you return.

A new demo build has been uploaded. This one is reduced is filesize, and has a few minor fixes in it. Please let me know if you encounter any issues.

The (new) demo is finally here! Please see article below for more details!

To Previous Players - You must start a new save for this I'm afraid.

Work has commenced once more. Recently began a new job and also moved house, lot's of decorating etc. Anyway, today I've made a lot of progress on the introduction areas. Initially, I was going to go with scripted, but it's now fully playable. More soon.

A little (big?) update on what's been going on recently.

Finally configured the game menu screen to display character state descriptions and not just icons. Surprisingly, this feature isn't something that exists by default, so it was a lot harder to implement than it should have been. Teaser for snow region ^^
