MAX_ is a bone-chilling entry into the classic animatronic horror genre, plunging players into a world of mystery, tragedy, and terror. Developed using Clickteam, this game presents a haunting narrative set within Max's Fantasy Place, a restaurant where playful fantasy collides with eerie darkness.

Created by Valentín Guastavino (Prototype 2.0), MAX_ brings an immersive horror experience with a deep narrative that explores paranormal investigations and the hidden tragedies behind the cheerful animatronics.

A STORY OF TRAGEDY AND HAUNTING

In 2023, Max Entertainment opened Max's Fantasy Place, an entertainment and dining venue featuring:

Burgers

Pizzas

Drinks

Fries

Salads

And much more

As part of the opening, Max Entertainment developed several animatronics, including Cakebonnie the Bunny and Candela the Bunny. Employees Daniel Pérez and Laura Gómez were tasked with completing these characters, while the rest of the cast, comprising six figures, was still under development:

However, a powerful storm struck during their work, and a lightning bolt hit the power station, instantly killing Daniel and Laura. Their souls became trapped within the animatronics of Cakebonnie and Candela.

A few days later, the tragic accident was reported, prompting a lawsuit against Max Entertainment. To mitigate further risks, the company committed to stricter safety protocols.

Shortly after, during a party at the venue, three children mysteriously disappeared, allegedly due to a killer. The missing children were:

Mateo García, age 10

Lucía Hernández, age 10

Jessica Hernández, Lucía's sister, age 10

The souls of these children came to possess Max the Tiger, Frida the Beaver, and Penny the Bee. This disturbing event prompted a new investigation, leading a young paranormal investigator, Sofía García, to explore Max's Fantasy Place at night, driven to discover the fate of her brother, Mateo García, one of the missing children now inhabiting Max the Tiger.

Using a ghost detector, Sofía scanned the main stage and animatronics. As she was about to leave, Penny the Bee activated and began to chase her. Terrified, she ran to the office but was pursued into the parts and services room, where old animatronics from the 1970s—Juan the Pirate Wolf and Amelia the Cat—were stored. Inside Amelia, she shockingly discovered the body of Mara Valdez. Horrified, she attempted to flee, but Penny found her, taking her life and concealing her body within Alex the Crow’s suit.

The incident led to a week-long closure and a fine. Max Entertainment’s manager, Lisa Monroe, released a statement on behalf of the company and Max's Fantasy Place owner, Cody Harrison, age 54. They hired a night guard to prevent further issues.

Gary Beckett, the security guard, is drawn into the mystery of the disappearances, sparking the harrowing events of MAX_ as he ventures into Max's Fantasy Place.
