Working on my first pass of Chapter 3 for Reindeer Story. It's based on the Nutcracker, check out the character designs!
The Toy Knights are inspired by the Onion Knights in FF3.
Implementing some disappearing platforms in the level design.
At first they'll be simple bridges but in later areas they'll be incorporated into the platforming.
Lux on Snowmobile in Reindeer Story. Due to the controls I went for 8-directional sprites to give a better sense of what direction you're moving during gameplay.
Wendigo dons armour and will ride Lux(Reindeer) like a steed in a joust!

Look out Lux! Boss attacks often will go straight after your character!

Look out for Jack Frost! He's a calculating perfectionist who loves humiliating his opponents.
My design for him draws of inspiration from Kefka and Kuja from FF6 and FF9.
