Altered Reality

Altered Reality is a psychological survival horror game inspired by classic pixel art horror games like Yume Nikki, Ao Oni, FAITH: The Unholy Trinity and many more - as well as digging deep into nostalgic and surreal horror roots.

The year is 2088, and the player controls a teenage girl named Maura who whilst escaping her past and trying to understand a strange prophetic dream she had has stumbled upon a laboratory that has been decaying for years. Upon entering she finds herself in another world created by the mind of a madwoman. She finds out very soon that she, like those before her is a lab rat. And now she has to escape before it's too late and she becomes a cog in the Doctor's ever-growing machine.

Evalyn "CloudDealer"

CloudDealer is a game developer, entrepreneur and game designer from Canada that created the enigmatic world of Altered Reality, they also created and founded ButterflyCube Studios, and it's soon-to-be parent company Butterfly Entertainment. Their passion and interest in the entertainment industry and video games in general is palpable!

Ian "Pie" Trainor

Programmer & Tech Help

Pie decided to voluntarily lend a hand in helping develop Altered Reality to it's completion. They're dedicated to helping create a game, and design a product that is worth the wait, and they've been Evalyn's 'right hand man' within the project. Evalyn and Ian have been friends for a while now and their bond has created an everlasting friendship that should last both this game's developmental life-span and beyond.

Erasmo Chang

Pixel Artist

Erasmo Chang is a pixel artist and game developer. Whilst developing his own indie titles he's been commissioned for most of the pixel art pieces you'll see within our game. He has been a huge help in visualizing the characters, scenes, and the world itself.

Cole "FATE" Lopez

Lead Concept Artist & Designer

Fate is a digital and traditional artist from the US. He's got an amazing and creative mind that seeps through the ink on his pages. He's helped come up with ideas and has designed some of the characters you'll see in Altered Reality. Valiantly he has volunteered and offered to provided free work on many occasions to help keep the project going.

Soyumilkis

Concept Artist

Soy is a budding concept artist who has joined the Altered Reality team to help design our characters, background art and the occasional sketch. Their contributions to our project are invaluable. She, like Fate has an interest in helping get this game as far as she can.

Jude

Character & Writing Contributor

Jude is a founding team member of ButterflyCube Studios, she wrote the character known as Leigha. Over time, she's developed this character to become an amazing addition to herself and the project itself. She has since helped bring both this character, and many ideas to fruition.

Cas "uppercas" Davis
