50 years ago, on April 1st, 1954, Leonardo Pennington's Academic Carnival of Arts was scheduled to make a stop in the town of Carneville, setting up in the empty plot of land at Fairground Lane. The Carnival of Arts was well-loved by Carneville locals, with many deciding to attend its temporary Art School every year, and some even deciding to travel with it. This year, however, due to an event that was covered up so hastily it never even made it to a newspaper, the Carnival of Arts never arrived, and was eventually forgotten.
Unfortunately for Cindy Carter, the story doesn't end there. Every year since the carnival's closing, countless citizens of Carneville have up and vanished, leaving nothing but their loved ones behind. And just this last year, one of those people happened to be Cindy's beloved wife, Cassandra.
Devastated by the loss of her wife, Cindy became obsessed with the incident. She began investigating the other disappearances in the area, hoping to find a link, when she noticed the only two things that all of these missing person cases have in common: the day the person vanished, and the last place they were seen.
April 1st.
Fairground Lane.
The exact time and place that the Carnival of Arts was supposed to be opened.
Determined to uncover the truth, Cindy prepares for the worst and sets off. But nothing could have prepared her for the day she was about to have...
