On January 24, 2015, retired hero Luigi Mario was mysteriously abducted from Sonic's Hero Pizza Palace, where he briefly worked as a night-shift security guard. The seemingly ordinary entertainment center is intertwined with a research facility dedicated to rescuing and cloning endangered critters from Dr. Eggman's long reign of terror over the years.

Complicating matters, suspects in Luigi's disappearance include the first ever clones created in the "Project Critters Restoration" experiment: Sonic, Mario, Tails, and Yoshi. The case is discreetly managed to prevent public outcry and conspiracy theories. Queen Daisy of Sarasaland and the Guardian Units of Nations initiate an international investigation with the Chaotix Detective Agency to uncover the mastermind and motive behind Luigi's abduction.

Simultaneously, Knuckles the Echidna, now a family man, steps in as Luigi's replacement, reciprocating a favor from Tails. Entrusted with guarding the facility, unraveling mysteries, and aiding Team Chaotix, Knuckles immerses himself in the intricate web of mysteries surrounding Luigi's puzzling disappearance.

Five Nights at Sonic's: Back to 2015 is a distinctive fan-game of both Five Nights at Freddy’s and The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog. Setting itself apart from typical FNAS projects, our game introduces a "task-based" gameplay loop reminiscent of FNAF 6, FNAF: Help Wanted, and TealerLand, along with a contradiction-style detective gameplay loop inspired by Ace Attorney and Tangle Tower.

Take on the role of Knuckles the Echidna, and by extension, the Chaotix Detective Agency—Vector, Espio, and Charmy. Your objective: Survive the night in a rundown control room, encounter both new and familiar faces, explore the location, inspect crime scenes, cross-examine suspects, solve puzzles, hunt for clues, and unravel the hidden mysteries!

As a non-profit fan-game, it's essential to clarify that we do not own the rights to Nintendo, IDW, and Sega characters. This project is solely for entertainment, offering our creative twist on the unusual side of the FNAF fan-game community. Please acknowledge that "Five Nights at Freddy's" is the intellectual property of Scott Cawthon.

• Will it play like another FNAF 1 or FNAF 2 clone again?

  No. We are tired of the same BS over and over again, so we want to make this game at least a bit more unique.

• Is this an official reboot of TheCyVap's series of fangames?

  No, this is not an official reboot. We are not affiliated with TheCyVap in any way.

• Will this game have a sequel or be a trilogy?

  It's too early for us to tell. We would love to, but this fan-game is already ambitious as it is.

• Does the story follow TheCyVap's story?

  We're doing more than that, we're taking some stuff from TheCyVap's story but changing it drastically.

• When will this game release?

  When it's done. We do not want to rush this game and we can be busy with our own personal lives too among other things, so it's hard to say when it'll be finished.

• Will the game be supported in other languages?

  We plan to have Spanish🇪🇸, Portuguese🇵🇹, and Filipino🇵🇭, but it's very low in priority right now.

• Will there be a mobile port?

  There are no plans for a mobile port.

• Why are there Mario characters here?

  Why not? What characterizes the OG FNaS is that there are precisely Mario characters in a game that is based on Sonic, we want to respect that.

• Can I help in the game's development?

  Any help is appreciated, we are looking for talented people in the community to make this project real.
