-ABOUT-
The HedgeWarp Engine, or simply known as âHedgeWarpâ, is a framework that lets people make Sonic The Hedgehog fangames as accurate to both the 2D Genesis titles (and Sonic Mania) as possible, made for TurboWarp.
(TurboWarp is a mod of Scratch, which to make a long story short, letâs just say itâs Scratch but with more/advanced features, I wanted to tell you that in case youâre unfamiliar with it.
-PLANNED FEATURES-
Accurate 360-degree player movement/physics.
Widescreen & mobile support.
Easy-to-use and built-in level editor/importer.
The Origins Quadruplet (Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, & Amy), all of which with their respective abilities.
Common level objects/gimmicks. (Badniks, Platforms, Breakable Walls, standard/breakable Bridges, you get the idea.)
Parallax scrolling system for backgrounds, & toggles for certain game aspects. (Example: Mania/Smooth Rotation, Sonic CD Timer)
Currently, the framework is exclusive to TurboWarp, but a Lite, or âDiet HedgeWarpâ version for Scratch is being considered.
