I really thought this one was going to be amongst the winners, what a shame. Maybe you can reuse the assets though for a new game? I think the judges just dont like 3d games :(
Very cool concept. I would love to see it a little more player friendly but the overall gameplay is great. Great job
Always nice to see a game clearly made by a board game enthusiast. :P I'll come back to this later, there's a lot to take in, but wanted to give my initial thoughts.
There is a big information overload when starting the game. There's a lot of figuring out the player has to do, and that process isn't very gradual (I got destroyed by Graboids in my first run in like the 8th turn while 2 meeples were in a truck). A First-Time-User-Experience would do wonders for this game (and understandably, it's often not feasible for a jam game).
I had fun otherwise, once I figured it out a bit. Would've preferred some things happening faster (eg. basic meeples with more movement points starting).
I loved the card store with the upgrades! Very strategic, and cool. I'll be playing this again soon. Great stuff!
Youโve documented the whole creative process and itโs a really great idea.
I put it aside so I can spend more time there.
Good luck to you, you would greatly deserve the podium!

A card-based strategy game! Can you escape Perfection Valley with all your meeples intact? Or will the Graboid menace be too much for you?
Each run you finish grants you more PBucks to spend upgrading your deck. Check out our strategy guide, playthrough videos, or in-game guides if you get stuck :)

Theme - Power In Numbers
Inspired by the theme we designed our game around powerful numbers:
Spend your PBucks to build your deck! The higher the number of cards you own, the more power you will have in each run :)
Each card has two numbers representing their power, for example;
Buildings have defence and capacity,
Distractions have duration and vibration strength
Weapons have ammo and damage
You're also heavily encouraged to keep playing more Meeple cards, & making them work together against the monsters. Plus each meeple you save nets you more PBucks! I hear money is power after all.
But watch out, there are a number of powerful Graboids too, and they also know how to work together...
