A jankenpon-memory-based #pirate #adventure


Mutiny !! Your ship was stolen, the crew is up against you, and they threw you in prison  - and all of this by your own sister ?! And for what, a big, mysterious, crystal ? Get the band back together and rock-paper-scissors your way back up the cockpit. 

Pirates of The Memory Crystal is a story-driven adventure game, with turn-based combat that plays out like a mix of rock-paper-scissors and "Simon" (the electronic toy).

Who is this for

  • Fans of story games : Characters ! Plot ! Lots of people talking ! We got it all !

  • Low-poly afficionados : if graphics don't matter, but artstyle does to you, come on in ! +1 if you like them old school chunky polygons^^

  • Original gameplay enthusiasts : If you play games to be surprised and try stuff you never did before, we can - hopefully! - provide you with some fresh gameplay twists.

What this is not 

  • NOT an RPG : While the style is a clear hommage to JRPGs, this is not one. There are no stats, levels or equiment. And no customisation whatsoever here!

  • NOT a long game : Expect 1-2h max of content. My idea was to make this like a single chapter of a much bigger RPG story, something a single developer can manage to do^^

  • NOT a complex battle system : The combat is memory-based, so it will not get more difficult than a Simon. There are however some twists with bosses, but a tactical game this is not.
