very intriguing game. reminds me of old adventure games, especially the likes of Yesterday (2012), my favorite in the genre. i liked the inner monologues of the heroine - despite english not being your native language i feel like you did your best with the translation. i especially liked the creative naming of the system stuff - save files are Archives, key items are Exhibits, equipment is Tools - all very nice, little details.
three problems plague the game in the current state, however:
- some of the messages are cut off by the message box border, mainly at the beginning.
- there is an interaction with the grove on the mud to the left in the first forest area that's still in japanese.
- the second interaction when trying to hike down the mountain is also in japanese.
- the second law firm business card you get from the trunk is the same one as the one you get from the department behind the car's door. maybe this was intentional? though i feel this was an oversight...
all in all, this is very promising. i like your style! please continue developing the game. and one note for the translation - updating both the japanese and the english versions at the same time can be very daunting, so, just complete the japanese version first and then fully translate it to english! i can wait, don't worry. i hope that will save a lot of nerves for you, too. wish you and the game well ;)
