Dead Alone - Beta 1.2.0 is available now !


Hey everyone !

I’ve got a new update for you today which adds some more cool stuff along with many changes and fixes as always !

The last update introduced 2 new special weapons, this update brings 2 more as well as some other new stuff.

The next update, Beta 1.3.0 is planned to release torward the end of july and with it will come a major rework of the ennemies in Dead Alone !


Content:

  • This new update introduce 2 new special weapons: the Crossbow and the Flamethrower, let's check their abilities:

    • Crossbow
      The Crossbow is a strong weapon to engage ennemies before they can reach you and can garantee a one shot kill on most ennemies

      As a reminder, each special weapon allow you to choose up to 3 special abilites which require first to be unlocked by simply playing the weapons, let's check all the abilities available with the Crossbow:

    • Flamethrower
      The flamethrower is great to quickly deal a lot of damages to groups of ennemies and keep them as far as possible from hitting you

      Here are the 6 special abilities that you can unlock by playing the flamethrower:

  • This update also brings 2 new sleeping buffs for the survival gamemode: “Clever Crafting” and “Last Chance”

    • Clever Crafting: All crafting costs are reduced

    • Last Chance: Killing an ennemy on your last bullet has 50% chances of giving you aditionnal reserve ammos (SMG, AR, MG)

  • Finally in this update I added 3 requested settings that allow to control if the sprint, aim and crouch inputs must be held or toggled

Changes:

  • Updated several guns that had an incorrect hand placement

  • Added supply chests accross the map outside of the supply rooms

  • Added new icons to the compass that show nearby relevant objectives

  • Supply rooms that have multiple doors can now be accessed by any of these doors

  • Supply chests can now also give projectiles

  • Various changes and fixes to some areas of the map to improve the AI navigation

  • Various improvements to the map menu

  • Various UI improvements and small changes

  • Removed some old unused datas from save files

  • Various optimizations to particles and foliage

  • Global rebalance to the waves spawned by the control zones

  • Global rebalance for all sounds

  • Improved collisions on various assets across the map


Fixes:

  • Added missing SFX for the minigun

  • Fixed some issues that could cause auto saves to not be triggered properly

  • Fixed various reloading issues, mostly visual issues that could cause the gun to dissapear after the reload

  • Fixed multiple issues with zombie's spawning system which could lead to a game crash

  • Fixed various issues with supply chests giving incorrect amount or rarity for some items

  • Fixed many issues with crafting and supply chests not giving the correct items

  • Fast travel is now properly disabled during the endless waves or while in combat in some instances
