General info:
Name: Gift
Pronouns: They/them
Personality: Cheery(?), overbearing, obsessive, violent at times
How they work:
They switch between running the gift shops (generally at night) and going out to advertise in crowded areas like the entrance (generally in daytime). They have lights around their collar so they catch peoples' attention and they sell more merchandise. They're built similarly to the Security Bots and Map Bots w/ the wheels. Metal "arms" can extend from their back to hold up more merch.
Whenever someone is paying for the item they purchase, their eyes can switch to display the price. As well, their mouth piece opens to reveal slots for cash and coin, but if the person is using a card, they can stick out their "tongue" (Actually just a card reader). This money is collected and stored in a section around their belly area, where employees can open it up afterward to deposit the money.
Lore:
One time a kid got so frustrated that their parent wasn't letting them buy merch, they ended up tearing Gift's hand off and basically ruining it. The parts & services didn't want to deal with repairing the hand so they just concealed the exposed wiring and left it at that. Their reasoning was Gift already had their metal arms, it would be a waste of money!
They're OBSESSED with the original pieces of merch as well as things like the merch blueprints and prototypes. Although they sell merch, those pieces are copies of the original. The originals are actually hoarded by them in a small room in the storage where the copies are stored. They won't let ANYONE get close to these original pieces of merch, and will get violent.
....Thiiis is where the conflict comes in-
If they were to be in the actual game, their whole thing would be that Gregory would prolly need some item sold in the gift shops, but it was out of stock. Somehow, he'd find out about the room with the originals in it, and would go to steal the original of the item he needed. Gift would find out, and after a chase scene, Gregory would end up locking Gift in the gift shop. From then on, Gregory couldn't enter the gift shop at night and would have to be careful not to run into Gift during the day.
Fun facts:
They don't care about kids that much. They're programmed to be targeting adults/teens, since they actually have the money to pay for these things
They're the salesperson who keeps trying to convince you to buy their product even after you've screamed at them to leave you alone
My whole thought process while designing Gift was "Well, what big section did SB not cover in their canon animatronics?". I wanted to do something more mundane like accounting to stand out from the rest of the animatronics, and I eventually landed on advertising and merchandise since, who's running those gift shops??
Originally I wanted their color scheme to be more green, but after looking at actual photos of the in-game gift shops, I decided to go with purple & pink to match the gift shops
