Yeah, I need a BIG break from the launcher cos now I'm still in that state of anxiety waiting to see how the game performs for everyone else after all the testing I've done and if people will like it or hate it.....my body is actively trying to reject both food and sleep but I'm doing my best to care for myself. Maybe it's just the really bad timing of my monthly cycle, but STIILLLLLL

The Return to Eternity game having a playable build is a huge milestone, but the overall EF project for which the game serves as the foundation is nowhere near done. I definitely plan to make moves to progress that by means of completing the main story being told via webcomic, and if this game gets enough success, it may not be the only game in the project either!
As tiresome and stressful as it was to make the Return to Eternity game, it was the most fun I have had with the project in years! I definitely plan to make several more VNs should I be blessed with the time and resources. I guess I can share my notes for a few below:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
As you guys know, I also make GachaTube content (less frequently during game development) and have used this method to tell several stories. For a few of my GachaTube projects, I think the story is good enough for retelling and expansion as a Ren'Py game. The following contenders are:
Heaven's Flag: a one-shot story told through a music video about the mythology behind a country's flag. I would definitely draw the character sprites myself, since the cast is really small, and I would probably use Apple Garageband for the music. This would make a nice little kinetic novel.
Monoville: a trilogy of videos with a story of two young men falling in love while being targeted by someone that is repulsed by the sight. I would probably use MusicMaker Jam for the music, and maybe use VRoid for the sprites since their clothes are so simple and the city is modern. This would be a linear visual novel where the ending has "versions" but scenes are unlockable through choices.
Project Equals: Of course, in addition to a few follow-up "episodes" of the "Begin Anew VN", I am kinda considering a visual novel version of the planned sequel to the main Gacha series. I would probably hand-draw the sprites myself and recycle the soundtrack since it's in the same continuity. It would be formatted a lot like Return to Eternity - linear story, but with secret scenes and optional "loredump" scenes since the worldbuilding is so large.
And of course, with enough of a public demand for the Return to Eternity game to get a non-linear sequel, the original Eternal Frenemies Rewind Gacha series would be the perfect story for it - with the same sprites and backgrounds (since it is literally in the same time as the past of the RTE game), but all new CGs and an expanded soundtrack!

Now I have an important question for you:
Which one should I pick when I get back to devving?
Click the titles to see the original videos and then let me know! If and when I get enough answers, you just might see a new game page and devlog come up on my account!
